Sometimes, for whatever reasons, we cannot post alot, or even at all. I have noticed this natural path with lots of us, myself included.
I thought that it might be nice to have a "just checking in" thread for those of us who don't have time or can't be posting for some reason, or even for some of us to check to see if others are ok, or if anyone has talked to "enter name here". I think it could be a big reassurance especially if we know someone is having a hard time, we of course want to know they are managing, doing ok, or getting help - you all know what I mean. lol Im bad at explaining. What i mean is, i see threads alot like "have you seen so and so? they were having a hard time and im worried" or something like that. Here is a good place to either check in, or update for someone if need be! And , I am just checking in, ive been lurking alot myself, im going through a phase but dont want all of you to think ive forgotten you! |

I think a Just Checking In thread is a wonderful idea! I know if I'm struggling myself, I can't post a lot and sometimes get busy to where I can't post to everyone, but can to the majority...leaving out a few people. I know that's wrong, but time doesn't allow for it sometimes.

yeah me as well, you know you always want to make sure someone is ok especially when you know they are having a hard time.
like stated above too if time constraints are an issue, then you can take thirty seconds to post a hi im alive in here, instead of trying to catch up or feel bad for leaving people out

Hi everyone...
(First, great idea for a thread, really useful IMO!) I'm not going to be posting for a bit, a few days... who knows? I'm bogged down with a whole lot of stuff and just need some time to think about things. You all take care of yourselves and I'll be back when I feel able.

Just checking in...moved to my Mom's in Tennessee...I miss my girls TERRIBLY. Mom's got a TON of stuff for me to do, though, so I stay as busy as I want. Now, if I can just get these darn embroidered teddy bears OUT of my room....

Did you say teddy bears, DJ? I collect them. If the ones you want to get out of your room are handmade, gimme a holler via PM and maybe we can work something out.
I'm at the Marquette library doing everything but working on my freelance article that is due at noon  . Just wanted to say hi and I'll be in touch as I can until I get to MN.
