Today has seemed one hundred years long. I don't know why. I've been busy almost all day and the time has still crept ever so slowly.
My Mom is getting out of the nursing home Wed. I spent yesterday getting her home in shape for her to be able to walk without tripping, etc. Today I cleaned my apt and did "spring cleaning" type of things because I don't know how much time I will need for my Mom. I feel like I'm in a time warp. Aack, Jan

Any day that involves cleaning is a long day in my book.
 I am glad your mom is getting out of the nursing home but please don't stop taking care of you.

Thank you so much. Mom's friend is going to stay with her during the day so I can still keep my Dr's appts, etc. I love my Mom but we drive each other crazy. I don't have all the patience in the world right now because I am temporarily off my synthroid. Oh boy, I'm very worried. Mom did notice that I was tripping over things in her room the other day, but I don't know if she actually realizes how hard this is going to be on both of us. Hugs, Jan

Jan you take care of you too hon. they can get her a home health care worker if she needs it. don't over extend yourself hon.

Jan~ I understand what your going thru hon. Its so hard to do soooo much. I have got to work on my dads house too .. and when the renter moves out.. that one too. I am trying to take advantage of dad getting care though to get some of my stuff done here first. Then go from there. But its hard because of my back..
Please do the best you can to take care of yourself. Take some nice hot baths to relax the muscles.. It helps alot. Take care hon. Hugz Bethy

Thank you both so much. I know you've both been down this path and that it's a hard one. I'm trying to play "catch up" before she comes home. I've tried to tell the family about this new dx but I don't think they understand. They also don't understand that even though I am disabled, I have a life. Mom keeps it very cold in her house so she can breathe better. Believe me, I'm taking warm jammies and my electric blanket with me.  Hugs to both of you, Jan

I've tried to tell the family about this new dx but I don't think they understand. They also don't understand that even though I am disabled, I have a life.
Can you print something out Jan? I had to do that for my medical issues. Only then, when they actually saw the "words" did they understand the seriousness of it. I know you know how to take care of yourself first because you "preach" it to me all the time. Lovingly, of course.  ((( Elf Sister )))

Even if I printed it out, they wouldn't read it. I know now why I felt so weird yesterday. I came down with a stomach virus. I'm so afraid my Mom's going to come home and everyone else is going to go back to life as normal. If it happens I'll get on the phone and start fussing. I don't want to sound selfish, I really don't, but I hope I don't have to stay there more more than two days. I have such a swirl of emotions inside that I don't even know what else to say.
