Not entirely sure where this thread belongs, so I'll just stick it here.

It's mostly venting, but help would be nice too.

I feel like my life is stagnant, that I'm stuck, and I have little to no way of getting out of it.

I want to leave this city, but I have no money, I have no money because I have no job, I have no job for at least 3 reasons: 1. I live on the border, so Spanish is a heavily desirable ability, but I can't speak Spanish, so any job goes to a Spanish speaking applicant instead of me (I've tried learning Spanish, I don't have an ear for languages at all). 2. I lack enough experience to be considered for a job. 3. My car doesn't work, so I wouldn't be able to even drive to a job, and I don't even have enough money to consider a bus.

I can't get my car to work because I have no money to repair it (see reasons I have no money).

I can't go to the local university here because I don't have a working car, and no money to consider a bus, and no money to send in transcripts

I'm trying to get into an online school, but very few have my degree choice (psychology), and those that do often have application fees, which I can't pay for (again, see reasons I have no money).

Most people just tell me the same old thing, to find a job, but again, no car, no money for the bus, no ability to speak Spanish (so very far less likely to get a job in the first place), and lack of experience.

So, naturally, I feel absolutely stuck and I don't know what to do

Hi there bamboo

I'm sorry to hear that you are in this rather difficult catch 22 situation!

I can understand why the options and prospects seem very difficult right now.

I don't really have an ear for language either.

Is there any government assistance programs that can help fund your psychology course? Just a shot in the dark because I think you would have tried if you knew about it.

Hopefully a member who has been in your position can come forward with advice.

Wishing you well in this tough time.
Thanks for this!

Dear Bamoboo,

I hope you are well!

I'm interested in psychology too!

Hows your family? You live yourself?

What kind of job you're looking for?
