Have my first appt tomorrow for my pmdd. Kinda nervous. Not sure what to expect. Hoping I can get the Dr to get treatment as medically necessary for Medicare to cover.

The meds typically used to treat PMDD (antidepressants and/or birth control) are covered by Medicare. I've been on various forms of birth control for my PMDD for five or six years now, and I've never had any trouble getting Medicare to cover it.

I hope the appointment goes well and you're able to find something that helps!
Thanks for this!

If you have supplemental ins with Medicare it would be easier to get it paid for. I have just Medicare and they need a specialty Dr to get it paid. Already tried with my family Dr.
