and maybe out of line being that I am new and alot of people do not know me yet as I only get in here once a week but wanted to say something....
Yea I hate perps and thing they should be strung up..... and all, but we are on line. as far as I know there is no definate way to keep a set person out. I mean when I registered there was no screening process that said am I black, white baptist, a perp and so on anf there was no varification process other than I had to recieve an email so that the site owners knew the email address works. So unless a person flat out says they are a perp there is no way to prevemt them from being here. for all I know there are silent perps already logged on and have been for years or even silently reading. so maybe this guideline that everyone is up in arms about should say something like - Self proclaimed abuser" that way it doesn't lead people into believing that there is never any perps reading or on here, because on line there is no guarentee. Its not like there is an on line sexual offender registration list that will enable those in authority to sompletely keep them out. All Im saying is that yea I don't like the idea of them being here and any self proclaimed should be taken off because its not safe guarding other members feelings and its also not safe for the self proclaimed abuser. a cop who happens to be a member could obtain a supenia to compel the owners of the site to release the ip numbers and log ins and so on. Anyway I don't let the idea of a perp get to me should they ever disclose themselves on line because the fact is they probably have been on the sites for a while before letting their presence be known. I just keep in mind when I am posting anywhere on line that its on line not real life groups where there is real resourses that can prevent perps from gaining access. And if anyone attempts to engage in any conversations that make me uncomfortable I report them and stay place them on ignore when that feature is available or just stay away from their threads and posts. Its on line they are going to be there just like I can go anywhere on the web and no one can fully prevent this so I instead have to use my head about what I am doing and saying on line. Sorry if I stepped where I don't belong and such but just had to say it. |
