Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) - National Institutes of Health (NIH)

NIH awards initial $46 million for BRAIN Initiative research

If properly funded this stuff will yield huge results. (hard science btw)

Thanks for this, I need to take the time to read both links completely. High time I say, but better late than never huh?

I am seriously thinking of donating my body to science when I die with an emphasis on studying what the hell happened to my brain...or maybe what possible genetic malformation I was born with. Seems like a good idea considering the state of our world in regards to running out of burial spaces. Not to mention it would save my family about 20,000 bucks!
