Who here wants to be completely cured of their illness?
I can honestly say now even as I swear I can feel my brain rotting, I don't want to be cured, maybe not even medicated. I couldn't tell you why if you asked, other than that it feels like there are lightning bugs and wasps inside my head and why would I give that up? Even if no one has poke air holes in the jar.

I would love to be cured. Never to have depression again would be marvelous. I can vaguely remember what it was like but just barely.

The parenthesis symbolize a virtual hug.
Sometimes I feel like I'm cured, I even asked my doctor and therapist if I am and they don't think so. I guess I'll just stay on my medicine since it seems to be working very well.

I would love not to be cured. Then I would know what it was to actually feel joy and love to live life.

Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors. |
