I took this test online just now(Antisocial Personality Disorder Test) and it said I have it- but I also scored a total of 25 points out of 109, which is barely 22%, so I don't think I have it- I think it's more comparable to avoidant personality, or a social perceptiveness disorder- because usually people who are categorized as being antisocial also are more akin to sociopaths and psychopaths in that they have no empathy, are very manipulative and other related issues. I am very caring of others, I feel bad when I hurt others feelings- I've been called too nice at times- I don't know. I made a comment to a coworker today after he was complaining saying 'first world problems' and this other gir said I was a ***** (jokingly I think) IDK- perhaps I'm on the low end of the autistic spectrum. I've thought as much for a while. But then again I also have barely been clean from marijuana for about a year and a half after smoking nearly daily for over 10 years so there might be something to that as well- like all my brain's synapses are probably still healing and whatnot. All these emotions are tough to deal with at times . . .

Hello AngstyLady: Yes, all of these various diagnoses can become very confusing. And attempting to sort out what diagnoses one does, or does not, have can be really confusing.

I've never been given a diagnosis by any of the mental health professionals I've seen. I presume that if I received one it would include depression of some sort or another, generalized anxiety disorder, and possibly Gender Identity Dysphoria. But, looking back, I also believe there was a time when I could have been diagnosed as having Borderline Personality Disorder. But who knows? At this point... I'm just a mildly crazy old person...

AngstyLady,

I can understand your feelings of angst. Your description of general life didn't sound Antisocial to me.

I think that the best thing for you to do, would be to see a T. Talk with them about your feelings about life, test results, and see what they have to say. Only psychiatrists do mental health tests, prescribe meds and diagnose ~ but the T's are mainly the ones that talk with us extensively. Both have different responsiblities, but the the hope is that they agree upon our mental health and treat us in different ways.

Diagnosis has some value, I'm sure, but is tricky. On the Dissociative Disorder test, I scored 0 for being likely to have it, but that is my main issue in actual therapy. I felt like the test was asking the wrong questions and felt I should have designed the test.
My med psychiatrist asked, off the record, just last week what I thought my diagnosis was (as if I should know) and I replied, "Doc, my diagnosis is whichever illness the insurance company will pay for".
Thanks for this!

yeah, I scored an INFP result on the Briggs personality test, so my personality is not very common, to say the least (INFP personality | 16Personalities), so I think that's a big deal in terms of feeling like I'm a bit of a loner, but definitely not the kind of personality that would be described as antisocial- at least not in the clinical sense- I'm just more naturally introverted.

Online personality tests are rarely accurate, esp if taken while your thinking is clouded or under the effect of a mind altering substance. If you know you don't have the hall mark traits, why are you worried you have anti-social personality disorder? I'm no dr, but I don't think making rude comments every now and then hardly means you have antisocial personality..it means you have short temper.

I also was given this same personality type when I was given the same authentic Myers-Briggs Personality test by my then licensed Psychologist therapist while I was in college- I've taken it sporadically throughout the years and always score the same You might want to see what yours is
