today being a bank holiday here in the uk i had to take my eldest daughter to her fathers as its this weekend that she goes, this is fine as we go through the back roads from were we live to were he lives, now if you dont know the british back country roads they are are no more than a car width in places and very windy and high hedges, so on the way back i called into a shop to get milk when i realised i forgot to give daughter her money so we went back again, on the way home as im not used to these paticular roads i wasnt doing any more than 30mph or less in some areas, but this idiot driving a car about the same size as mine came around a corner at very fast speads not even enough time to stop nearly hit us, i anchored on my brakes and pulled as tight as i could into the hedge he just carried on past nearly hitting us if i hadnt moved over he would of hit us or had to go up the hedge, but as i pulled down further to gather myself all we could see was a cloud of mud dust, this has left me very shaken

as you know i'm from england and we have loads of those roads around us too. had a few near misses myself.

why do people haave to be in such a rush? so sorry this happened to you and you are shaken. you are not hurt that's the main thing, and that idiot will get his comeuppance for being such a jerk. can't believe he didn't even stop to see how you were, then again perhaps i can believe it - my saying and signs around here say 'BETTER LATE THAN NEVER' so true i would say.

hope you have a good rest of the day sweetie

I'm not from England, but I am used to country roads. I've had more than one experience like that. I am so glad you are safe.

Hugs,

Jan

{{{{{{{{{{{{{Kathy}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I know how you feel! DH and I had a near miss today, too. The woman driving acted as if she had the road all to herself! She changed lanes when she wanted to whether there were cars in her way or not. We started to make a lane change, she was ahead of us, and as we changed lanes, DH speeded up. THEN is when she decided she was changing lanes regardless of whether we were next to her or not! GGGRRRRRR!!! She had the gaul to give US a dirty look as if WE'D done something wrong! Guess we weren't supposed to be on HER road! not very good

Let's just be glad that we're all okay. not very good
