The Light of Day Always Revives me.

Even if times are sometimes tougher in summer than in winter, it seems like I always cope a lot better with it, when it happens between, let's say, April to October.

I'm especially affected by SAD. I know the special lamp might work, so I will buy it before next winter, ty sundance for reminding me.

I feel pretty well these days, met some old friends and it was nice. The only hard thing is that being so poor, I can't follow them to Bars and Restaurants.

When I'm alone, I don't mind about being poor.

When with some friends, that's another thing...

Take care friends !

Sincerely,

Starbuck

Thw warmth and sunshine always bring me outdoors this time of year. During the cold winter, I sleep in the dark with the blinds down and closed, but in summer I love to wake up to the sun! It's just comforting, motivating, energizing--it does so much for a person's attitude. The Light of Day Always Revives me.

Thank You for your replies, inkblot and kris.

Yes, I've heard that the light must be used as early as October. I'll have to buy it nonetheless because even with my antidepressants, I always get the winter Blues, starting in November.

Say, is the light really helping you ? Some said yes to me, others seemed more sceptical.

Take care,

Sincerely,

Starbuck

I'm the same way, sunshine reivives me, I can feel myself perking up and getting energized, especailly yesturday because it was so warm out.. the sun wasn't out the whole time but the warm air got me giddy and the sun was just a bonus.

SAD's should be lifting now that it's almost may.

Starbuck- did you do light therapy over the winter months with a light box?

Hi Starbuck
I can relate to you. I'm always down in the dumps during winter as well. I love the sunshine. I go to tanning beds in the winter. It makes me feel a little better. I'll pay for it in the future I'm sure. lol I Think everyone is effected by the lack of sunshine/daylight. It makes it tough to get up and start your day when it's winter. Take care.

Hello !

I'm feeling the same, the temperature and longer daylight days always revives me.

As for the light box, sundance, no, I did not have it because I could'nt afford it, last year. I don't work now, only sidelines jobs.

But I will buy it this summer, I have nothing to loose.

Ty also will, well yes, sunshine always makes quite a good impression !

Sincerely,

Starbuck

Light therapy is beneficial when you suffer from SAD's, yes they are expensive, if you've read my post on this I could not use my light box this winter, was too ultra senstive.... was not fun.

I was like that with medications as well this year, hmm, wonder why.

It's like that with me too, brighter and longer days, I feel like a new person when the summer comes, I cannot believe how much sunlight makes a difference, I have more energy, i'm happy ect..
