Am I right in thinking that your surgery is tomorrow?

What would I do without everyone here? Yes, surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning, early 7:45am my time in the Midwest.
Supposed to be an overnight stay and home on Wed. {{{{{{{{{{{{{Tomi, Jill, Wendy}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} My online family - the best I have. Thanks for thinking of me. xoxox Mary Alice

I'm sitting looking at the time, realizing that in 6 hours I have to get up and go to the hospital.
Added to this is that a few days ago I simply quit taking ALL of my meds (9 pills a day here) cold turkey. The withdrawal was horrendous. I had to keep the Neurontin for my leg, but that's it really. I got so tired of being tired all the time, falling asleep while driving and at stoplights. The anxiety, paranoia is coming back full swing here, but I'm going to try to stay off meds or at least go to a doc that doesn't push that many down my throat. I have a cold and didn't tell the hospital because I can't take the chance that they won't do the surgery. I'm "on vacation" from work right now for this week.......so I'm taking the cold medicine Contac to help. And of course I had to fight with hubby tonight.........naturally. He's telling me how I couldn't manage without him - pleassssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Anyway, I'll pop back in when I can, barring any problems. Keep your fingers crossed (and toes).  Mary Alice

You may see this after yoru sugery, but I am sorry, I hvae been away from the comp, till today... I ahve had so many prayres about you going in my head..
I am praying for you.. and I do hope your sugery went well,and I am hoping you are doing well.. I'm home..........only the overnight thing.
My doc took out two screws and bolts (I have them as a souvenir) and he says that should solve the problem with my leg. I imagine it will take time for that to even start after 8 months of being pinched. They had 2 IVs in me, and kept oxygen on me all night. Plus those tight stockings and air pads on my legs that keep inflating. I had a good breakfast and lunch there before I left - ironically enough, the nurse in the am was the same one who took care of me last Aug. I have no brace this time, but I look forward to when the pain stops. Did get a scrip for oxycodene so we'll see. I also stopped at work right afterwards to check up on things. Thanks for all the prayers and good wishs. Glad it's over with. I don't go back to work till Monday; however, I am supposed to go to a training seminar tomorrow and Friday for a part time job. I don't know about that. Mary Alice

Mary Alice, I had this whole thing about having a couple of screws loose written up, but then I remembered that was me...
I'm glad to hear that everything went OK. Hopefully the pain will subside quickly and this will be one less thing to worry about in your life, right? Silver lining and all that stuff... I am so glad things went well. Keep us posted on progress and hopefully you will be feeling very well real soon.
Some people might find it odd but I think it is really cool that you kept your "hardware" as a souvenir. You should see if you can (or get someone to) solder them into a small piece of sculpture. When all this is behind you you could keep it on your desk as a reminder of the strength that you have to have gone through all of this and survived. thanks I have now gotten a bad cold/sore throat so I am housebound and didn't go to the new job training  . Going to see if I can't get that rescheduled if they'll still have me. Since I have almost 19 cell phones, I really wanted this part-time job of actually selling them for a wireless provider.I don't go back to work till Monday, so my cold can suffer till then.....lol xoxoxoxo Mary Alice

Dave,
it is so awesome to see what was actually inside of me. They have it in a sealed bag with my name and stuff on the outside. I did get funny looks from my doc, but the way I look at it, it was in me - that makes it mine still. I never feel strong, but thanks for the thought.
