Hi all

i thought i would post to ask for supportive thoughts and prayers. Many of you may remember a couple of months ago i posted saying that my Nan was very ill, well she recovered from that but she has become ill again...

She has been ill now for several weeks but today it became critical, basically the next 20 hours are the most crucial now...she is very ill, and many people have resigned to the fact she wont make it.

For anyone who knows what it is, she has caught the hospital super-bug that is gripping the UK...it is called the C-DIFF bug, it is a relation to the MRSA, and she caught it whilst being treated in hospital for pneumonia.

I will keep you informed as to her progress, or not, either way. I have just got home from the hospital, and i along with everyone else, pretty much know what will happen. Its a case of "anytime now"...we could get a phonecall any second.

So if you could send warm well wished my Nans way, i would be very grateful. And as i said, i will keep you informed.

Thanks

Simon

Thank you for your well wishes...

I have bad news regarding my Nan...she passed away this morning, at approx. 6:30am...We got home from the hospital last night after seeing her at about 11pm and at 2:30am this morning we recieved a call saying that she had taken a turn for the worse and was even more critical, we went straight to the hospital and were there by about 3:30am, and we stayed with her until the time she died, about 3 hours later.

She was in a lot of pain last night when we left, but when we got there this morning she had slipped into a coma, and we were re-assured she was in no pain.

I am happy now that she is no longer in pain, that she is at peace.

I am grateful about one other thing. When we were all sat by her side in the hospital before she passed away, when she was in her coma, i felt like i needed to leave the room, so i got up and went for a walk, got a drink, and when i got back moments later i found out she passed away in the time i was gone. Whilst i was walking i was thinking "let go nan, just let go" and after a few moments i suddenly felt releaved, like a burden was lifted...i almost knew what had happened...so i made my way back to the room to hear she had indeed passed away.

So, may peace be with her, and i hope whatever is next for her be good and peaceful. Much love to my Nan, and rest in peace.

Simon

It's Critical... {{{{{{{{Simon}}}}}}}}} It's Critical... I am so sorry for the loss of your Nan! But you're right, she's no longer in pain and she's free from her physical, ailing body. No doubt she's happy now.

She'll always be with you, Hon! You'll miss her physical presence but you'll have her with you in your heart and in your mind. Let that fact comfort you.

I'm here if you need my shoulder, ok?

Love you!

Simon, I am very sorry for your loss, if it's any comfort, you'll cherish all the good times you both shared.
And do know, her life was enriched by having you in it, she too will always love you, forever . . .
Please take care,
DE
