Our ability to love ourselves and others, despite what has happened to us.
No one could tell me where my soul might be I sought for God but he eluded me I sought for my sister/ brother and found all three My soul, my God and all humanity. |

Who defines this? My ex-t would probably say you do! He is a huge believer of people believing in themselves no matter what anyone else thinks. Me, though, I think (of hope) God defines this. Because I don't think I define it very well. Too often I think we tell ourselves we are not worth very much. So then it might be helpful to have an outside person, or depending on what your beliefs are, God, to help use define. As for what defines human worth, if I had to decide for myself though, I am not sure what gives me worth... Hmm. Would have to think about it. I just know I do not think very much about my own worth so probably do not think I have much about that has worth (whatever those things would be). I also don't try very hard either anymore though. Great question fuzzy bear. What do you think?

As adults, we decide our worth for the most part. The exception is in cases of certain populations unable to make decisions or care for themselves. Unfortunately, those groups are often neglected by their families and those who would have the power to treat them with dignity.

I think sometimes we (society) get too caught up in "worth"being measured by how many degrees you have, what type of job yoy habe/house you have/car you drive, etc...yes it is good to set goals to get degrees, have better job, etc-but what do you do woth all that? Do you help others whn they need it most? U wish we all cpuld just believe in ourselves and know that each person is worth someting..

Fuzzy, we are of great value because we were created by our heavenly Father, and loved totally by Him.

There is not one single person, thing or god that defines our self worth.
Self worth is entirely dependent on what you think it is, which is based on your upbringing, your environment and what society deems it to be. |
