Lately (and for the past couple of years) I have been feeling like I have no personality and like I struggle with interacting with the people around me, including strangers, friends, and family. I mean, I do things... like play my guitar, or paint, or cook or whatever... but i'm usually not very happy doing it. And I really don't like going out to meet new people. I guess I'm just wondering what any of you think the reason for this could be. I'm lost.

I am a lot like you, but probably much older. I've just reached the point where dealing with people is too much work. I prefer my own company and am an introvert for sure. I know I do not have an interesting personality and no longer care whether or not I am considered interesting or likable. I continue to be a good person and treat people well though. I think it all begins with social anxiety then evolves to this place we're at.

i am schitzophrenic which also means i have traits of being one. i like to be sociable but can only handle so much time with friends. i usually find a way to get away, like making up something i have to do that is important. does anyone else do this?

Your self esteem is low, you are in fact just as interesting as everyone else, now, you just gotta believe it!

hi
you have to live your life in such ways-
1-Be present:-you have to avoid wasting time & be efficient bcoz no one has to waste a single moment of life bcoz none of us knows how many moments we have left.
2-Wishlist:-Made a wishlist of your life means anything you want to do but you coundn't do by any reason do it in a right manner.
3-Stop wasting time in past:-Every moment of our life is important so going backwards in life is a waste of time.
so enjoy every moment of life bcoz life is very precious.

I feel like I might relate. My least favorite question is what I like to do. I have no idea. I do things out of habit, I suppose, I don't feel an intense urge to do them or that I'm gleeful for doing such things. This might not be at all what you're talking about but if it is, just know you're not alone. I for one have not found out why I am like this. I have been screened for depression but I don't really feel like that resonates with me; perhaps it could with you?
