I want to get better. But It seems like I try everything, and nothing works. I've been out of the hospital for 6 months. I thought that was enough time to get better. My brother came home for the weekend, and brought his new girlfriend with him. Everyone is laughing and now going out to dinner. And I didn't want to go bc I was scared. I wish I could just laugh and have fun.

Thanks Fayerody. I'm just so tired of feeling scared and isolated.

I have a therapist, I'm 24, I have a close friend but she isn't available right now. I'm feeling better today. I felt better once they came home. I don't feel so bad about not going out w/ everyone now. My family loves me. Thanks Fayerody. I'm glad I had someone to talk to last night.

Hi, I too was in the hospital and it did take over 6 months for me to finally start feeling better. I was the same as you, I isolated myself and found it absolutely impossible to smile or have fun. I went through a very rough period and it took time to get over it. For me, I had to get my meds balanced out, build a good foundation with my therapist and connect with my support network. All that takes time. Hang in there and keep trying to move forward.
