It was slow in the afternoon for me yesterday as well. Must be something with the website server again, seems to happen once in a while.

As long as others are having the problem too I know it is not something on my end... if it is too slow I just give up and try again later, and try to do something constructive in the interim Why is "response" so slow?.

It's still faster than sending a letter Why is "response" so slow?!

Maybe it is the heat here, it is much too hot for "spring".
Back in the 70's when I was, yes me, a computer operator, our systems (monsters) were so heat sensitive. . . gee, gang, I wonder if things are still that way?? Why is "response" so slow?

Have a good weekend Why is "response" so slow?

I don't think nearly as heat sensitive now... plus those old monsters used to generate much more internal heat too.

The old Cray supercomputer has a large part of its structure dedicated to cooling systems IIRC.

PC users (especially gamers) on the cutting edge of speed and power still today create systems that are fluid or freon cooled.
