If this is recent behavior, I would suggest you tell your doctor. Blurting things out can be a symptom or side effect that needs investigating.

You can also keep notes of the situations where you do this and what what you said. You could then review these with a therapist.

In the very short term you could try pinching your lip and mentally saying "Stop" immediately after blurting something out. It may help you stop yourself from blurting out anything else.

Haven't you been overusing/abusing substances quite a bit lately? Perhaps that is part of the problem.

Keep in mind alcohol abuse produces permanent effects in the brain. Again, I think you need to consult a doctor.

I wouldn't rush to a doctor over this fairly common human occurence. You realize you do it so work on it
If it's related to substance abuse that's a different story

Sounds like you need to work on your impulse control sinking. I have a rule that I adhere to before I open my mouth these days...I ask myself. Is it True? Is it Neccessary? Is it Kind?....this usually keeps me out of trouble.

yes, im taking anti anxiety meds, antipsychotic meds (low dosage, with the goal of making me sleep) and yes i drink too much but i dont know how to cope every day. i start drining at 9 am when the day at work starts. im so tired and fed up with everything, disgusted by having to live yet another day. and yes, this all makes me say things before thinking it might be bad or i better not say them.... im just so tired you know?
