Black swan theory is about unpredictable events that can impact ones life or society like 9/11. Hindsight is used to rationalize the event. How many think events have triggered depression or anxiety?

I definitely think traumatic events trigger depression and anxiety.

I totally agree w/PumpkinPieHead. Unexpected, traumatic events can definitely trigger underlying conditions... and even act as triggers for people who are in treatment.

I agree with the others that already posted. Traumatic events most definitely can trigger increased depression and anxiety.
