I'm updating in a new thread because the old one is way back there somewhere... Update on Daughter - Continued

First I'll say that my oldest daughter's new pregnancy is growing beautifully. She miscarried then got pregnant again the very next month. She's not even thrown up! She's had times in her life where she's been borderline OCD and we're keeping an eye on her not getting extreme in that right now. She's focusing alot of her anxieties in good ways...food, eating properly and specifically, etc. It's going GREAT! Update on Daughter - Continued She has a wonderful, caring, doting hubby and they're thrilled.

My youngest...

Whew, this is always long, but I'll try to shorten it some. I appreciate everyone who's PM'ed me. So much care. I love you all for it. I need that right now.

Jess is maintaining. She's doing much better since taking the beta blockers. We were thrilled then the endo expressed concern for the baby. He then looked at the dose and said it's tiny, so I guess we're back to thrilled? Update on Daughter - Continued

This was the first time I really got to talk with him about when I believe this first "ballooned". I told him that I can look back to different times in her life and see where she's been mildly hyperthyroid and it explains so much. I went on to tell him about her back just a few months prior to pregnancy, that she'd been on massive steroids, etc. That's when my daughter really changed...drastically...and all the symptoms were mental/emotional in appearance. That's one thing that people don't understand about both hyper and hypothyroidism. I wish everyone (especially those with anxiety and depression disorders that don't respond well with treatment or have no known cause) got a very simple bloodtest. It's hard to tell you that if we didn't find out what was wrong with her, she might've ended up in the hospital with mental/emotional. Many do. Update on Daughter - Continued

Anyhow, she's doing much better...being controlled with meds. The endo's first words to her were, "Wow, you look great!" She had on makeup, straightened her hair, and looked so pretty. Update on Daughter - Continued She'd not had the energy to do that in months. He's concerned that some counts are dropping too low or starting to, while others are still "up there".

She's still on a higher dose of the auto-immune drugs which is scary for the baby but there's no choice and he's hanging in tight. Update on Daughter - Continued

Soon I'll be working like a madwoman to prepare mammaw's nursery for two little ones. Update on Daughter - Continued We're getting together stuff for her baby shower.

Wow, I didn't have to shorten it! How cool is that????

Things are maintaining pretty well, y'all and your thoughts, energies and prayers have helped that so much!

KD

thank you (((((((( bee ))))))))

Yep, I'm very anxious on several levels, but feeling blessed and thrilled too.

I'm concerned with my little man's reactions to Jess's baby because he's already incredibly jealous. He'll be in preschool during the day for a couple of weeks when the baby is born and I'll try to ensure that I'm "his" when he's here. Also, I want to let him be involved as much as he wants to.

Love,

KD

You weren't kidding when you said you were busy! My goodness woman. I have this visual of poor you running around in circles tending to everyone's needs. I sure do hope you make the time to tend to your needs too! Update on Daughter - Continued

Sounds like wonderful news on the medical front with both daughters. I'm sure that takes a load off somewhat Update on Daughter - Continued

By the time the babies come, Little Man should be well on his way to fitting in at school and looking forward to his special time with you each day. It will all work out, I just know it!

Much love and prayers sent your way! Update on Daughter - Continued

Yay! thanks for updating us, and I wish for things to continue on a good path.

Oh yes, you're so right about the thyroid affecting a person emotionally. My thyroid is totally non-functional(advanced Hashimoto's disease) and sometimes even with the meds I take they just don't work as well as a functioning thyroid does..... so the downs can sometimes be hard to get a grip on Update on Daughter - Continued
