I didn't get the job I applied for. I don't understand why, because I really have more than enough experience and qualifications to have gotten it.

*sigh* I do have anothr job interveiw on wednesday, but as of right now i dont even have the bus fare to get to it.

Why does everything seem like it happens at the same time?

I'm sorry you didn't get that job. I am a firm believer in the fact that things happen for a reason. For some reason you were meant for another position and it will show it's self soon! Maybe this job you didn't get would not have worked out well for you in the long run. Who knows, but keep on keepin on...your dream job will come as long as you keep your eyes and mind open to all possibilities!

Good luck hon!

Thank you sabau2!

Your absolutely right in that I can't lose hope. I don't really know why this hit me so hard today, maybe I just was not in the mood to begin with. I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something Didn't get the job i applied for.

I can give testimony to what Sabby is saying. I lost my job at the end of Dec 2006. I kept applying for jobs...would get interviews...jobs I was qualified for....even 2nd interviews sometimes...only to receive a rejection in the mail. All of these interviews were at least 1 hour drives one way. I didnt want to go that far but if I could get a job...I would take it. I can say that Sabby is right that they were not the jobs for me. Finally a job came up 10 mins from my house and I got it!!! It's a drive that I wanted close to home......

I hope this help you Rainbowzz in some way...don't give up hope...there is something more fitting for you out there!!!!

Good luck

I so agree with Sabau! I had no desire to post for a new position at my company last October. I wasn't totally happy where I was but I was okay.

One day I talked to one of the attorneys that works in the big office and said "ya know, I think it's time for a change". I then forgot about it. She called a couple days later and said there was an opening in the Compliance dept. that she thought I would like. I posted, an interview three days later, offered the job less than a week later. And I wasn't even thinking of looking for another job!

Keep those spirits up and keep your mind and heart open to what can happen - the right thing will come along.

Tranquility

Don't give up!

For four years, it seemed as if it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all (blues song lyric).

Three permanent slots were open where I had a nine-month contract, and after slaving away for 10-hour days, I wasn't one of the three chosen.

Soon after, I went through the motions of interviews for another job and did what I had to do, but I was so shell-shocked from life, I could not even put any emotional investment or hope into the whole process.

Weeks passed. Then almost out of the blue, they offered the job, with a big raise (12%), more opportunities to advance, and better responsibilities.

Keep up your spirits, please. Life can turn on a dime.

I have an interview with a call center that pays MORE, and is ALSO right by my apartment!!!!!!

This was the original place I applied and thought i didnt get because they never called me back until RIGHT THIS SECOND!

YA! I feel so much better now. Feeling competative and ready to take on more interveiws.
