That is a very interesting article. Emotional Intelligence is a very important issue for everyone. I think that the most important part of emotional intelligence is the intelligence to not be controlled by our emotions, the the intelligence to control our emotions & use them appropriately .

Those people who can do that are the successful people who stand out above the others who just get their success by other means as it was talking about in the article.
