Im watching this show on VH1 ...a tv station that shows things with celebrities and music...for those who dont know what it is....and they were making fun of Mike Tyson who was hugging people at a party...and then proceeded to dance on the dance floor...and it makes me really upset because he is brain damaged because of earlier line of work (boxing) and they were imitating him with a voice that would make other think about mentally impaired individuals...and its making me cry.....why...i dont know....its sad...dont laugh at him trying to have a good time...slap him a high five and dance with him....hes like anyone else....i dont know why i am getting so emotional over this....i mean i dont even know the guy....and it is partially his fault for continuing boxing after his doctor said not to....but still....i guess its cuz my mom said they got a surprise at work (she worked as a laborer at Rite Aid) and she said he came to visit them and he gave her a kiss on the cheek...and was very sweet and nice....im sorry...im just a blubbering mess....im so stupid i know...

Mike Tyson also did prison time for rape, and bit a man's ear off in a boxing match. I'd say he's lucky if people are just making fun of his dancing.

Making fun of people is not nice, but I have trouble feeling sorry for him as well. The girl he raped was from the town I grew up in.

You weren't ignorant and you didn't offend anyone!! I thought you were absolutely right - no one should make fun of anyone!! I remember this guy around town that has tourette syndrome and he swears uncontrollably really loud. These ladies in a grocery store were laughing at him. I marched right over and told them that I hope they never get tourette syndrome because then they would have to deal with ignorant people like them!

Robin Givens married him and then reported of his violent nature, though why she even married him in the first place seemed ridiculous, and was probably because of his money and status as a boxer at the time. He has been parodied a lot for his speech. He IS violent and dysfunctional, and I do kind of feel sorry for him, though the issue of rape and the atrocious biting of the ear were inexcusable.

As a person who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury, I can say it was horrible trying to survive as a functioning human being when I was injured. I am one of the truly blessed ones who has healed tremendously.

One of the many, many hells that people with TBI's endure is remembering what you used to be like and knowing how far you are from that "norm".
