This doesn't entirely mention mental health issues, but my issues I mention here are mental health related, especially social anxiety!
Here goes... I'd like some advice or support. I called in sick to work today, because I seriously was feeling illl, I even threw up in the early morning. I am also 8 months pregnant, so maybe it's not a good excuse feeling sick. The head manager sounded so angry, and proceeded to ask me if I called anyone else to see if they can work for me. I was a bit taken aback. I've had to find people to work for me before because of certain circumstances but not when I am sick. I then told him (which I had been contemplating for months now) that I'm probably going to give my 2 week notice to leave, especially cus I have less than 6 weeks of this pregnancy and I do not get maternity leave. He was sort of rude about it too, saying either I'm going to do it or not. I feel bad. I've been dreading to tell them I might leave. Working there was literally my first (more serious) job. In June it would have been a year. I only work one day a week, very short hours because I also receive disability. I just feel like I am being judged and the workers don't know about my past health problems, or it's like they don't care about my current ones that deter me from continuing to work. I'm scared to call them back or go there and tell them for sure that I am leaving. I am scared that I may never get a job again. I plan to stay on disability for the time being, but since it has been 7 years on it, they are reviewing my case to see if I am still disabled and there is a slight chance they may not consider me anymore. and if I leave my job that will be bad financially for my boyfriend and I, and for this baby on the way. I am just super stressed out. ![]()

You and your baby come first. Call your pcp and get a legal medical note for leave and then you can go back to work if you don't give your notice. By law you are entitled maternity leave, they have to give it to you. For now, take care of being sick and talk it over with your boyfriend and pcp. (((hugs))) I hope you get better soon dear
