if you want to see the video, go to the link above and scroll down to "politics"....on the left hand side in a list of the news. a window pops out and click on Senator Byrd's name and you will see the video.

Vick is getting a lot more attention now, than he did as a mediocre (last two years)football quarterback......150k have already sent in e.mails (from Humane Society members) to Goddell, of the National Football League.....I read the indictment (18 pages) against Vick and I could hardly get through it. It is the most disgusting piece of work that I've read about cruelty to animals.

Michael Vick's life, as he knew it, is OVER........blame it on the boogey man, blame it on the devil, blame it on his cousins.....there are men who are giving statements that they were there WITH him. once he gave another dog owner $23k on a bet that he lost. and there was a witness to the exchange.

I'm finding myself surprisingly charmed by Sen. Byrd these days.

I've known about dog fighting for years, and I'm really glad it's come into the forefront, garnering much more attention. I hope we can at least put a huge dent in the "business."

He's my senator from WV, and has been since I was in grade school! Watching this video, it occurs to me how he takes his good ol' time to deliver powerful words..."Shame, shame...SHAME!!" He reminds me of one of the wise "Ents" in Lord of the Rings....(you know the old trees who take a long time!" and he rocks!
