A lot of the time I get overwhelmed by a lot of negative voices. They are never other "people" or anything but I dont seem to have any control over what they say.

What exactly are they?

I have been told I have depression/anxiety/ptsd by various therapists.

Hello Burial: I cannot answer your question. However I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. There are many knowledgeable & caring members here. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

Hello, Burial.

Unfortunately, we can't offer medical advice. I would get a second opinion. Im just a layperson but I've read hearing voices may be a symptom of psychosis. Regardless, it sounds like you still need answers and seeing a professional can help you. Specifically, a psychiatrist would be able to help you.

Meanwhile, we are here to support you.

Lots of voices

Sincerely,

Rainy

Are these voices your own voice (for example if I screw up I silently put myself down verbalizing it in my head)? I think this is normal. Or are they elsewise. Either way, talk to a professional and they can try to sort this out and give you some understanding.
