I'm not sure if you can work and get ssi. I would think not, because if you can work you wouldn't need it.
I think if you are mentally and physically able to work and support yourself then you shouldn't keep trying for ssi.

... when my disable daughter was on SSI we could make up to a certain amount each month and then they would take 1 dollar away from her SSI Check for every 2 dollars our income went over the limit.

only reason im taking the medical coding and billing course is because u can get jobs working at home....right now i can only work part time because of the way i feel about being in public.... i called my lawyer and she said that she thinks i should go on with the case that i might still be able to get benefits... so i guess thats what im gonna do ......

My daughter collects SSI and she has a part time job also. She can only make X amount of dollars per year so you will want to find out what the amounts are. If I were you skittles, I would continue on the SSI trek, because jobs and your health are an unknown but SSI, once you are approved is a given
