If you are okay with your activism creating problems for you, that's great -- for you. I sometimes get the feeling though that you feel if others aren't ALL intensely involved in world causes and politics, then they aren't worthy in your eyes.

I am just very frustrated recently, so I may come off as bitter and angry. I realize it.

You use a lot of all or nothing thinking. You say "everybody thinks they are entitled to everything" in life and "everybody" should stay reasonable informed. But perhaps you need to recognize (you sort of did but then contradicted yourself) that not "everybody" thinks they are entitled; that is a certain group, even many people, but not as black and white as "all" people.

I speak from my own experience and my part of world. A little country that was totalitarian not so long ago, made it to the other side... and now we are well off, many people seem to think freedom does not have to be guarded and protect. That it requires not sacrifize, no work from the people. That is just is.

As for a "reasonably informed" goes, I think your idea of what that actually means is much more intense than the norm -- your knowledge is much more than just reasonably informed so you do tend to set the bar rather higher than even average.

Honestly, if they just do their thing and are not involved... I don't mind as much. But when you don't watch the news and then read and spread hoaxes and tell everybody nonsense about how bad things are, world is going to end because of some email Mary from the third floor sent you... then yeah, it drives me mad.

You are in intense individual with a low tolerance for people who choose not to live with intensity about the same things you find are important. Perhaps give people credit for having intensity and passion for other things in the world that might have nothing to do with war and violence. Some people are intensely passionate about art or music or education or their children or families. It might be a thought to consider that other people's passions for other things are as valid and important for them as your passion and intensity for your world issues that you live right in the middle of are to you. Just a thought.

Honestly, I realize I have this problem communicating effectivelly. It has been topic of many meet ups, how to talk to the normal people... because after some time you get tired of explaining how the EU works, what was Maidan, that there are Russians in Ukraine and that the website they are talking about is propaganda server, what is human rights chart, that we are economically better off now than 30 years ago, because yes, beer cost 2 czechoslovak crowns, but the wages were disproportially lower and remember there were toilet paper shortages....

So yeah, I need practice being more friendly and less in your face aggressive activist. I wish somebody knew the answer to that.
