Mattel has recalled Batman figures, Barbie, and metal cars from China due to lead content in the paints. Please check their website, or even CNN's for the full story, listing. Be safe!

Monday , August 13, 2007

The head of a Chinese toy manufacturing company at the center of a huge U.S. recall has committed suicide, a state-run newspaper said Monday.

Poor man.... the sense of responsibility and hopelessness must have been too much for him to bear. The social pressures put on folks is overwhelming at times. We really do have to change how we think and what we value to ensure we don't loose perspective like this.

I think it's sad that their society causes that...but really now, they KNOW the rules for exporting to USA. He got caught and couldn't handle it. Mattel recalls toys made in China Think of all the children (and the animals earlier) they have injured and killed here.

If it hadn't been for all the dogs dying, and then the human food issue, and then the leaded bibs, no one would have caught these toys either. I can only surmise that since China received the approval (since Pakistan lost it) they have been sending us bogus stuff.

I wish we could just buy from USA! Mattel recalls toys made in China

I second that.

I have so many friends who've lost their jobs to overseas.

One friend who worked for IBM was training people from overseas. When she finished, poof. Job dissolved.

She'd been training her "replacements." Mattel recalls toys made in China
