feeling blah

I don't know where to post. I'm not depressed, manic, anxious, or in danger of SI. I'm not especially happy. Tired, mostly, and blah. So where do you post if you're blah?

I have a job interview in Milwaukee tomorrow. It's a pretty good job -- director of media relations for the Milwaukee School of Engineering. I know one of the professors really well and dropped his name in my cover letter, which I'm sure didn't hurt for a speedy reference -- Michael and I have always gotten along really well. In addition to doing their media stuff, I also have years of university teaching experience and a degree in mass comm, and could teach their comm classes with one hand tied behind my back (well, maybe not, if you've ever tried to get an engineer to communicate more than "where's the donuts?" ).

I have a lot to offer them. The money would be amazing, and it would get me back home. So why am I blah? I don't really care one way or the other and I don't know why.

I guess just hope for me that it goes however it's supposed to . I haven't decided if I'm going to bring along the laptop, so I might be out of the loop for a couple days.

good luck candybear. let us know how it goes as soon as you can please. maybe the blah has been triggered by some subconscious anxiety about the whole thing? happens to me sometimes.

That's my take on the whole thing. Eh. Didn't knock 'em dead, didn't embarrass myself, can go either way on the job as described. I floated the idea of being allowed to teach a class as well and couldn't read them, but that would make it more attractive to me.

In the meantime, it's wonderful to be home! -- although lunch hour downtown traffic gave me second thoughts, LOL. Where I live right now, 3 cars in a line is a traffic jam!

I still hope you get it though, you sounded like you wanted it...

I wanted it based on the ad. After hearing a "live" description I am less excited. However, it is faboo to be home and I very much want to move back!

I live in NW Wisconsin in a town of 13K, but I used to live in MO. Not too inclined to go back, sorry! :-)

the little town I live in has no traffic lights and only 1300 people if that lol

hey candy. im glad you enjoyed the trip back home regardless of how the interview went. you never know about the interview though. often things have actually gone a lot better than we think they have!
