Ok so ever since I was about 17 I would think to myself my first and last name to myself in my head but now it's gotten to where I'm hearing it out of my body such as while cars are driving or when airplanes are passing over. Basically my body is talking through engines and electricity. Has anyone heard of this before and Is there a cure or medicine available out there? Thank you for reading this. I'm currently taking invega as a shot but it's fine nothing for me.

Hello FullyIcy: I'm sorry you are having these disturbing experiences. I am not able to diagnose you. But your auditory hallucinations are certainly something to be concerned about, in my opinion. You mentioned you're receiving Invega shots. This is, I believe a medication that is prescribed for schizophrenia. So I presume you are under the care of a physician of some sort or another... perhaps a psychiatrist or a general practice doctor. Hopefully you have talked with your doctor about what you are experiencing. That is the correct approach here.

I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. There are many knowledgeable & caring members here. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

Glad to see you here asking questions, FullyIcy! I used to hear my name being called from somewhere behind me, and I have often experienced repetitive phrases or parts of songs as never-ending sound loops running in my head. I do not have any answers for your questions, but I do hope your doctor or someone can help and that you let us know what you learn.

I used to hear my siblings and mom and dad when i was a waitress. i also once heard a sentence about myself coming through the hair dryer. I never told anyone which was smart as i would be considered nutts to some people. I also heard a sports game coming from the fish tank. i know, it sounds illogical, but i just took it with a grain of salt.
Thanks for this!

Hi,
It is a strange world! Nothing is too outlandish. You would only have a problem if you did not know where the sound is coming from.
Here is my experience: I lived in a very old house with stone walls and stone chimny stacks. One day my wife re-arranged the furniture in the bedroom so the bedhead was near the chimny, During the night I could hear coal miners working underground. I recognised the sounds because I worked down a coalmine.
On anther occasion I was on a river boat with my family and just looking at the scenery. In the distace I sow a big white luxury yacht and could read the name! Fully halfan hour after, the yacht came past our boat. So I must have seen the yacht and read its name from 15 mile away! The river the boats were on is a meandering, slow flowing river with trees and hills on both side.
I don't consider myself to be out of the ordinary person. Most people have strange experiences. Perhaps there are other dimensions out there? what we're unaware of??
