So the mp3 player's battery is recharged by plugging into computer. Which poses a big prob for me as it takes forever to recharge and lots of times I do not have access to a computer. I'm thinking maybe to switch to an ipod. Do ipods recharge differently? I'd need to recharge it by plugging into an electric outlet, same way I plug in a fan or tape recorder, or computer

iPods (as far as I know) only recharge when connected to a computer. I have a speaker system (made for my iPod) that recharges it that way as well - while I can listen to it at the same time.
