I'm really overwhelmed by everything at the moment. I just cannot seem to cope with any aspect of my life. I can't sleep and I can't eat and I can't go to work and some days I can't shower. I can't speak to my friends. I can't stop thinking. My thoughts just seem to go at 100mph and I cannot get them to stop. I'm wondering if I'm ever going to feel "normal" again? I'm really worried I'm in the midst of a breakdown and I can't stop it.

You don't say what treatment you have tried so far. That can be key to getting better. However, there are many of us that struggle on a day to day basis with MI. I get better for a period of time then get worse again. Then there are some that improve greatly over time.

If you think you are in the midst of a breakdown talk to your doctor.

I second seeing the doctor and will emphasize SOON! You need to find out what is going on so you can nip it in the bud. And you don't want this to get out of hand...it can get worse, believe it or not. Please go.
