Well, actually he's my first cousin, but I'm the youngest grandchild in the family and he's got a son older than me.

He had colon surgery today to remove a "little bit" of cancer. When they got in there, there was a whole lot of cancer. They've called in another Dr. and that's all we know.

He's in another city and we're depending on phone calls for information and it's hard to wait. Please pray for him, send good vibes or whatever you do.

He once told me that he did everything he wanted to do in his life and he doesn't regret one "damn" thing. What a legacy in such an uncertain world.

I know if I had listened to him and taken his advice, I would have far less heartaches that haunt me.

We received more information today and none of it is good.

The Drs say there is no hope. They can give him a chemo to give him a little more time, but that's it. His blood pressure is understandably out of control right now and they are having a really hard time with that.

My uncle said he will take the chemo, but I have a feeling when he gets home, he won't. He's always been very independant and strong willed.

We will have to see if he wants to see family or not. My brother has told my Mom that we don't know the name of the hospital because she has a horrible habit of calling a person five or six times a day.

Please, please continue to pray and send good thoughts for my uncle. His name is Charles.

There is so much I want to say about him, but all I can really say is that I can't imagine my world without him.

Your uncle & you & your whole family has my prayers. It is important to be able to spend time with him & enjoy the time you have.

I went through that with my Mother just 3 years ago....only no one would tell her the truth about her condition. The most important thing however is to have good times together & let him know you love him.

im so sorry January. this is an incredibly hard thing for all involved. as others have said, spend as much time with him as you can and be honest and genuine with him about how you feel about him. and also try to take care of and be gentle to youself.
