Wots new in my life?? I got engaged to Martin a year ago (4 Aug) and we are trying to secure a mortgage to buy an apartment - it's stressful and frustrating to say the least.

I had skin cancer removed from my nose and had to have a skin graft which they took from behind my ear, the first time I looked at 'it' I was so miserable and totally peed off because my GP had basically forgotten to refer me to a specialist, 6 months later and a few firm words in his ear i was referred straight to a 'plastic surgeon' who did the 'op' under local anaesthetic......... not too pleasant. My biggest worry was actually leaving the house and going to the hospital, when i got there and explained about the 'issues' that i have, i was sent literally straight into the 'theatre' so quickly i didnt have time to think about having a panic attack........... I have to go back on 24 Aug for the results and review of my nose - it still looks bloody ugly but anyway.

Snake count: I now have 13 snakes and trying not to look at the website because i know for a fact i'll buy another!! Each snake has its own little personality and quirky things that make me laugh. They are all very tame as i handle the all nearly everyday!!

2 x egg eaters (yes they do eat eggs!! they come from africa)
5 x ball (royal) pythons
1 x Amazon tree boa
1 x common red tail boa
4 x hogg island boas.

Martin went to a school where they educate children with special needs (autism, downs syndrome aspergers etc) and its amazing how the kids that dont normally communicate very well with 'human's' thoroughly enjoyed their day with the snakes. I find them very theraputic and relaxing.

Other than that I am still here and much the same, some days are good and some not - aluta continua!!

Peace out

Hi Tracylee!

Congrats on your engagement!! That's exciting! Did you set a date for the wedding yet?

I know what you mean about finding a mortgage, they almost want promise of your first born for heaven's sake Haven't checked in for a while - here's the latest

I would love to see your snakes! I love snakes and they are such fun to watch and handle. Right now, all I have here is a blue tongued skink....hoping to save up the $$ for another snake or two down the road Haven't checked in for a while - here's the latest

Hope your nose heals well. What a dope your first doc was...geesh. I'm sure it will take time to heal properly. Good luck with that!

Take good care and thanks for the update Haven't checked in for a while - here's the latest

sounds like you life is going well. Congrats on the engagement. Good thing he likes snakes. I enjoy snakes & watching them....& even holding them......the power in their muscle movement is amazing. Glad you can share them.....creatures are definitely theraputic even snakes.

We had a rosey boa at the ranch where I used to board my horse....would have loved to catch it...probably was someones pet at one time since that isn't a natural snake to the Mojave desert in California.

Hope all goes well in the future,
Debbie

Hi tracylee

I have thought of you often as well as wondered how your snakes were doing. Now you have 13!! We still have our two (red tailed boa and a corn) with no plans to get any more at this stage. Our house is too small anyway. My son is handling the corn beautifully and it looks like he is going to be a herpatologist (sp?) in the making!

Great to hear about your engagement! Congrats.

Here's also hoping that everything turns out well with your appointment on the 24th to get your results.

So wonderful to hear from you and hoping to hear lots more from you!
