Out with a male friend today sitting on a wooden picnic bench, a sliver caught the worn part of my jeans on the backside. I reached to pull out the wood splinter and found it wasn't worth doing--because, you guessed it--I had a hole in the backside of my jeans! Holes in my pants Holes in my pants Holes in my pants I am *so* hoping he didn't notice! Unfortunately for me and my PTSD, this guy seems to like me more than just a friend, I think. Actually, I'm sure of it. Holes in my pants Holes in my pants Holes in my pants I am grateful(?) that the hole is at least in the crease of the butt cheek by my upper thigh. Picture me sitting here typing this to you in a very busy public library with my underwear showing through my pants! Holes in my pants Holes in my pants Holes in my pants This was my last pair of jeans, too! They are hard to get in my size through the "clothing closet" at the shelter office. I have a pair of workout capris to change in to for tonight, but they aren't exactly warm or comfortable enough for use at night. They'll do for tonight. Wish me luck that the shelter office has a pair of jeans or something else in my size when I go there tomorrow! LOL(!?!)

I am already going in to more of a PTSD mode/phase right now and that should be a post in the PTSD forum as I start to go nuts and emotional again. I was so self-conscious walking to this computer even though my bag was covering the hole in my pants. I already have so many guys watching me and ... and it all is making me uncomfortable.

Nothing is open now that I could get donated clothes from. I do at least have those capri things to change in to for tonight. If I can't get anything from the shelter, I will try around elsewhere--but there aren't too many in close distance that I know of. I think the next closest will be 2-3 miles away. I'll work on that--do some brainstorming of my memory and maybe a little research. I'm all out of cell phone minutes though, so I can't call any of them. I'll have to actually go to the places first to see if they have any clothes available. Good exercise?

I'm so sorry about your jeans. I so hope you find a pair that fits you.

I'll tell you a story to maybe give you a laugh. A couple years ago I helped an elderly woman fix her fence. I got the concrete mixed, set the posts, made sure the fence was level, etc. As I finished I realized I was on the wrong side of the her 7 ft. fence. I walked a long way until I found some chain link fence and decided to jump the fence. I almost made it. My jeans were old and the top of the fence caught my bottom. It ripped one side out in the er...bottom and completely down one leg. It took me a few mins to realize why my fanny felt so cool and why some of the people around there were watching me with rather stunned looks on their faces. Holes in my pants Holes in my pants

Hugs,

Jan

It sure did! I was busy picking myself up from the mud. When the fence caught my jeans, it threw me sidways and I went rolling in the red clay mud. Holes in my pants Holes in my pants Holes in my pants
