its been making it difficult to do anything including visiting this site often. really bugging me tonight especially..

my paranoia (also my delusions) tells my that my computer is tapped and people are watching everything i do, thus exploiting my mental health privacy. then im paranoied about people at my window, on my roof. cameras in the house. etc etc the list goes on.

lately, my mind is telling me that people at PC (no one in particular) are watching me..in a weird way. like, following my posts obsessively or something.. and then i felt like the mods are doing it to.. i dunno..like some stupid conspiracy or something. but creepier. its very disturbing and its limiting my access to the web, esp this site. and the voices in my head only confirm this to me which doesnt help.

im pretty sure its not true and its just my paranioa etc in full swing as it has been lately,

am i right..?

I think you are. I don't recognize your "name" so I don't think I have been tracking you.

I have the same problems as you I am sure there is a camera inside my TV watching me all day and everyday, I KNOW this is not true but just in case when I am in the room with the TV I am carefull about what I say and do !

You just have to trust me when I say no one is following your post or you, no one is looking at you through your pc and your pc is not bugged.

Tishie.

When I get frightened and paranoid I take things as far to the extreme as they'll go; what would it mean if it were true?

I like the quote, sometimes attributed to Mark Twain:

If you are being run out of town, get in front and make it look like a parade.

Yes you are right. You know your mind the best.

When I'm not wanting to be seen, I feel all the more exposed. I wonder if that happens with you or others?

Hi Silent. There's really no way for anyone to "follow" you here. No one (including mods and admin) can see where you're posting when you're posting. I remember a couple years ago on the who's online screen, it would show where the members were posting and I thought SURE I was being followed. I just wanted to reassure you that that doesn't show on the who's online screen now.

hey silent. no this is definately part of your mental health issues and not real. you are not being followed or watched. do you have a doc who knows about your issues? if so and if this paranoia is interfering so much it might be worth mentioning to her/him to see if s/he can help at all?
good luck and try to trust your logic as much as you can rather than your fear.
oh and i can add that i cant ever recall seeing any post with your screen name on it either if that makes you feel any better.
take care

Think you might have been watching too many Alfred Hitchcock movies. I remember after watching some of those horror movies, I would always feel that someone was watching me. Of course it wasn't true.

Don't you wonder where those people get their ideas for writing those movies.....maybe you could take come of your paranoia & put a plot to it.......you could become a millionair movie writter......then your paranoia could be put to good use.

I am not trying to make light of it honestly......I just remember feeling those paranoid feelings after watching movies like that....only way I could relate to what you are going through.

Hello(((SD))). I am sorry that you are struggling at this time with your
paranoia. It is hard to be involved with a site with so many people at one time. Perhaps you are overwhelmed with the site in general. It is rather overwhelming at first to keep up with all the posts involved
in an expanded site. You can go to profile and go to invisible if that makes you feel better and more secure at this time. Then no one will know when you are on Psych Central. Take care (((SD))). soidhonia
