... at the animal hospital... Don't know what the outcome will be. His right eyes is totally torn and that side of his face is swollen and he has bruises on the inside of his mouth. Probably been hit by a car. He's being given cortisone over the evening and night to see how he's doing in the morning... Doesn't look good though... the best scenario would be the loss of his eye... the worst... brain damage...
Elvis is my special cat. He sleeps beside me every night. I've been away since yesterday morning and slept over at a friend's place. Haven't been away on my own for a very long time and really needed this... but now it just feels weird... having been away... coming home to an injured cat and much worse the news about my friend Lilith/ Altheia. |

Poor baby! I'm sorry you have to deal with that...as your good friend Altheia is hurting so right now.

You are in my prayers......I know how special our babies are.....they are our children. I know there is nothing closer than the unconditional love from our babies & it hurts so much when they are hurting. I pray for a good recovery for Elvis. It is sad that they don't look both ways before going into the street, I hate it when accidents happen. Debbie

Thank you all for your loving caring words!
I talked to the hospital a little while ago. Elvis has been eating some and is feeling a tiny bit better, but is still very sick. We have to call later in the afternoon to check how things are. If he doesn't have brain damage we will let them remove his eye. Sigh... |

We had to put one of our babies down in Jan., so I feel your pain. Honeybear (my current cat) is my best friend and the worlds greatest therapist! My thoughts and prayers are with you and Elvis at this difficult time. Please keep us updated and jknow that you are loved.

Oh no - I am sorry to read this!
I have just fetched one of my "kiddies" from the vet after a 2 day stay in hospital .... also from an "accident". It is a horrible feeling! Lots of healing and gentle thoughts for you Nina!

 (((Nina and Elvis and family)))) sounds like he is in excellent hands getting the medical attention needed. many kitties do fine minus one eye. may Elvis heal quickly and get back to being the important feline he is in your family order.

Thank you, all caring people!
I just spoke to the hospital and they will remove my cat's eye this evening. They'll call me afterwards to tell me how it all went and how he's doing. He's probably not suffering from any brain damage though. They say he's affectionate and wants them to cuddle with him even in his bad condition. (((((((( Elvis )))))))) |
