Well I've got flu and I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself.

Had a huge nose bleed too and now I can't blow my nose. I'm full of snot! Hope I'm not grossing you all out!

As some would say.... I'm full of it!

I'm due a flu jab in October, I've got asthma too so it usually hits me pretty hard.

Thanks Dee. Talking of chicken soup, we have a rooster here that my hubby doesn't like very much............no! I wouldn't do that. But hubby keeps going on about it.

AWWW! Poor flying horse has a code in da dose?? AWWW! I'll bet that would be some strange additive to the salad! EEEWWWWWWWW! And green, too... what from the greens horses eat. Tell them you spilled your Green Eggs and Ham?

I have asthma, too, so I double my dose of inhalers to make sure I keep my lungs clear. Because of my high blood pressure, I don't take cough medicines or other stuff like that. I get some nasal spray. CANNOT handle a stuffed up nose! Those two keep me going pretty good.

Oh, yeah! Almost forgot to share something my beautiful DIL taught me. She almost died of an asthma attack. When she recovered, she read up like you wouldn't believe! She found out that EXHALING hard through your mouth clears your lungs better than coughing. I've tried it, showed my youngest how to do it when he's had just a bad cough, and it really works! Oh, yeah... and snort... in... in your throat? That clears your sinuses when you can't blow. Of course, that gags me and I wind up throwing up. EEEWWWWWWW!

That's TMI (too much information). eeewwwwww. I have only had an asthma attack once & it landed me in the hospital for 10 days....go figure....never had asthma before in my life & a dang forest fire got to me. I have had pneumonia more times than I can count so can totally relate to the breathing thing & clearing the lungs.

I have also found that when I have a stopped up nose, if I hand my head over the side of the bed & raise it quickly (I get a horrible headache....no), my nose starts to drain when it's in the sinuses just below my eyes.

I do like the ideas you have for clearing up the breathing....hopefully I won't have the need to try it very soon.

SeptemberMorn, I've had asthma now for a good 20 years and many a time my hubby has had to help me outside to breath in the fresh air, yeah, breathing through the mouth is the only way.

I have been really lazy today, my daughter did the salad (thank goodness! ) and my son did the washing up! (I nearly died from shock! ) and hubby fed the chickens.

Of course now I have to give them all some pocket-money!

I buy them by the case so there are plenty to share. Muffy and I use a lot of them.
