Do you ever have memories that you aren't sure ever happened?
I used to have a lot I believed didn't really happen. It was just my imagination running wild. But then I learned they did actually happen. I wasn't making it up. They weren't good times, but I can handle it. I have some "memories" though. I don't know if they are true. I don't want to ever admit they happened. And I can't ask anyone to know for sure. I don't know how to know for sure. I don't even really want to know. But it creeps into my mind a lot. I can't seem to control that. I hope I am wrong. Because this particular "memory" is too hard to accept.

I have some dark and missing memories from my past. I more remember the emotions felt that are attached to these missing periods.
I have learned not to ask people about them as their own reaction isn't always pleasant. I instead choose not to dwell on them - unless I am in my psychiatrists office where we can discuss it. |
