I have so much to discuss with my pdoc today. This is my first appointment since the stuff at work went down, plus I need her to sign a letter for me.

I'm going to type the letter though and tell her I need it to say exactly that. Because I did that once before for a pdoc and he gave me a useless letter that didn't say what I needed to. It was really frustrating, because he charged me $25 for it, and he didn't even spell my name right. Then again, that was the pdoc who diagnosed me without ever doing an intake...yeah...

I'm sure my pdoc will be receptive and helpful with the letter. My bigger concern is how we're going to handle the spike in my symptoms with medication. We can have a short term plan and a long term plan, but I just don't know.

In other circumstances, I would push myself back into therapy once even twice a week, but under my new insurance, I can't afford it. I can barely afford my pdoc but I know I need her, so I pinch pennies to make it happen.

Just goes to show how my employer, who provides the insurance, is part of the whole problem...but whatever.

Wish me luck with the doctor today.

Had the appointment, pdoc was totally on my side about the EEOC complaint and everything. And she understood the need to adjust meds. We came up with a short term plan for two months and then re-evaluate.

She's reviewing their request for paperwork and my suggested letter and creating something she's comfortable with in the meantime. She said I would get to review it before she gives it to me or sends it.

She said she was amazed at how well I was holding it together and thinking logically with all that is going on right now.

And she chastised me for my compulsive skin picking, and also prescribed something she thinks will help with that.

It was a good visit. And I felt better afterwards, finally having a discussion with someone on my side with no ulterior motive.

Glad it went well. It's such a relief when one has a competent pdoc.
