Are these thoughts normal ?

Omg you are in Tennessee? I lived there for 15yrs - don't wish it on anyone! How they can call it "the bible belt" is beyond me... I grew to call it "Satan's belt" (sorry to anyone who is anti-religious or who may live in n like TN). Everyone I met there who was born and raised there seemed to have no morals ... adult kids bragging about learning sexual ways from parents or other family members n those family members bragging about teaching it, friendships were based upon who could one-up who the best (as far as back stabbing), rape n molestation - that was something to brag about as was any jail time you did. Now, people who were not born n raised there - some of the maintained the morals they came with n some adopted the TN way as a means of survival. TN is a beautiful place in scenery to visit...just never ever live there. The laws n docs are just as bad. Please, please move as soon as you can. I swear that state is like a trap. I wanted out almost as soon as I got there. Took me 15yrs to get out. Now I am in NC. It isn't much better here cuz of the neighborhood I am in but at least they don't measure friendships in some backwoods way or brag about rape and molestation. Those things blew me away n still do. If I hadn't been there to see it I wouldn't have believed it. I hope you are able to move soon. I sincerely do. ❤

Yep I was born and raised here but the rest of my family are from Ohio so I guess (fortunately) that's why I'm not what you would expect from a Tennessee native. I came back to this thread because it just happened again. I was running and a guy shouted some **** out his window about it. Now I'm standing at the bus stop and there's other guys like that here(white, dirty, southern accent)I'm thinking in my head ..DON'T SPEAK TO ME, DON'T LOOK AT ME, LEAVE ME THE ---- ALONE!!!! WHY IS THAT SO DIFFICULT FOR EVERYONE ???!!!! GET A LIFE AND BECOME HUMAN STOP ACTING LIKE A WILD ANIMAL YOU WORTHLESS POS! I'm 4'9 so they probably think they can say whatever to me and I wont do anything.and that just makes me more and more tempted!!!

Yes eventually I'm going to have to move but it's going to be hard because for one thing I'm on a fixed income for another I have no support system anywhere else and I hate change. But every time this happens I get closer and closer to realizing that if I don't get out of here I'm going to end up in jail.

So I want to propose a new law:

Shouting out your car window at pedestrians is a traffic violation, doing so will get you fined, repeated offenses will result in getting your license revoked.

Those are exactly the reasons I n my fiance got trapped there for so long. We just researched online to find a state n city to move to then looked online on craigslist n their newspaper n kept calling about ads ... then got in our car n left with our checks one payday. That's how we got here. Once here we used some financial aid services in the community to help us out with a few things we ran low on. It was the only way we could get out...

I understand what you mean about wanting to retalliate. I wanted to do the same when I was there. It always seemed though cops stood up for the bad guys when I called about something - robbing me, peeping in on me, shooting at my dog - so I figured they would do the same in that instance n I would take the fall...so I always just went on mumbling under my breath...
