I feel meds made me lose creativity by giving me less motivation less deas and less enjoyment in doing any of the creative things I used to do

I never had a drop off in creativity. When I was on and off meds for 7 years, I would stay creative.

The way I have been creative has changed. I used to draw all night long listening to music when I was in high school. This continued through my time in the Army. At the last part of my service, I was literally writing on the walls of my room.

Once I got back home, I switched over to digital art. Then 3d abstract renderings.

While doing that, I was a web designer and started DJing. It took me a few years of constant practice before I was good.

Now I just DJ and have started producing breakbeat tracks and putting mixes online. I have a budding mobile DJ business. I do not create art anymore, except on rare occasions.

I think you should do creative stuff and not worry about it's worth, even to you. Eventually it should come back to you.

Medication combined with my natural mood cycle are big factors in drowning my creativity. It is hard to get motivated and I feel a great deal of my art lacks the inspiration it once had. In the past I have gone more than a year without taking out my supplies.

This year is different. I joined a weekly art and coffee group. On some occasions I force myself to attend but I end up being grateful I have done so. There is something that is therapeutic about art. I may rarely find inspiration in my craft but playing with my supplies is still keeping the 'muscle' in shape.

My creativity isat rock bottom,I can't honestly say its down to meds, however looking back the decline definitely coincides with med increase .

It's gone up and down depending on meds and also seasonal changes. Right now it's good. I also lose motivation if I'm cooped up in the house for too long.
