Someone said this to me more than once. I don't understand and am very confused and a little suspicious.
How would you react to that statement? And what are some reasons people have said they like you? Did you believe them? |

I guess I would ask "how AM I"? Other than that, it's likely a compliment.

I would take it as a compliment or ask what he/she likes about you.

Well, I would think about the person saying it and what their intention most likely was based on experience. If it was someone I didn't know, I would find it strange and uncomfortable probably.
If I thought it to be a compliment, I would accept it as such and try not to overthink other possible motives and what I might be missing. I do struggle with that though because I have Obsessive-compulsive Disorder. |

Is that comment made AFTER a conversation you have had with them so they are responding to a feeling of being unsatisfied with yourself message they are receiving from you? Usually people don't make a comment like that unless they have received a sense that you are unhappy with the way you are.

I would take it as a compliment. Being accepted no matter how one is--that's pretty cool.

I would definitely react positively to that statement. It's a nice thing to say and to hear...I think.
