Goodmorning all.

I've been awake for about an hour now, getting ready to go to my job as a secretary but has been in my mind today is regarding my real job, the one I studied for, teaching.

I more or less have one year to find a solution in this, as next September I'll be working in a private school for my first teaching position And I am excited about it, BUT, one of a teacher's biggest goals is to build the esteeem of his students, to help them feel empowered and to love themselves.

So my question is, how on earth do you teach something that you have never managed for yourself? Doe anyone have a similar issue?

Great day to all

I have a similar issue. You could go to a therapist. There are also a lot of really good self esteem books out there. If you start now and do the exercises you could build some pretty strong new neural pathways by the time September comes around. I'm doing both to address the problem. Good luck and best wishes.

What Jennifer said.. therapy and books are the best way to build self-esteem, along with lot of practice.

I'd love to see a therapist, but my current economic status does not allow that. Hipefully in the future. I've never thought of such books to be honest. I guess i thought they wouldn't work or something. But maybe I'll give them a go. Thank you both!
