I have recently started feeling very down and overwhelmed. It's hard for me to get out of bed and into work and when I'm there I feel like I have no energy and I don't want anyone to talk to me. Can anyone help me deal with these feelings? Right now even typing this is hard, it's like I'm shutting down and can't deal with anything. I'm afraid of this taking over me, it happened in the past and I didn't deal with it and ended up breaking down and becoming very depressed.

Any advice at all would be really welcome.

I'm sorry you're struggling so badly. It seems you have depression. Are you getting some treatment for it?

No I'm not sure where to start to be honest? And for some reason I'm reluctant to get treatment, I'm not sure why

You could start from therapy from example. You can look up some therapist available in your area..

You could see a psychiatrist who may diagnose you with depression and prescribe meds and a therapist to support you and help you process your feelings. I hope you start feeling better soon. Good luck and best wishes.
