So I started this new job which is great and I am happy about that. However, part of my job is to do team building exercises with the teenagers I work with so they are sending me and other staff to New Hampshire for the day and we want be back home until 9pm maybe. NH is like 2 hours from where I live and I tend to get very nervous about being in an enviroment where I am that far away from home and with people I don't know to well and I don't know if my cell will work in NH so I can make sure my hubby gets home from work okay which is also something I worry about. Ugh! I want to call in sick that day but I know that what be me engaging in advoidance behavior which will ultimately make thinks tougher the next time a situation like this presents it self. What to do ? Suggestions? Advice? Thanks guys!

I would say, go to NH for the day. Let hubby stand up for himself, and you get to give your avoidance problem a kicking and it increases your confidence in yourself. And it is only for one day, right? Sure you can do it! I have every confidence in you. Need Advice from you all :)
