Like a book , a tv series or an activity .
Do you have to like it all the time ?
Do your have to like everything about it ?
Do you have to never get sick of it ?
Should you like it even when you're depressed ?
Do you know you enjoy it because it makes you laugh or becauze it makes you think or because you want to engage in the activity more often ?

What is enjoyment? What does it mean to truly enjoy something? And what does it mean to be interested in something?

This is the dilemma going on in my mind

Something that makes you happy. No you don't have to enjoy it all the time. You can enjoy something once in a while.

I don't have to do anything but follow my intuition (I'll call it that, but it is an individual path). Usually, one finds one's best path by trial and error (not disaster) so it's good to think about it as you are clearly doing. If the emotional rewards are enlightening, I remember the best of it all, and that likely sends me back again for more. I have learned with age to avoid going back to situations that brought me discomfort. Sorting it all out will happen with diligent thought, and patience. And never stop asking questions.

Something that makes you smile, that you like, that makes you feel good. You don't have to like everything about it, and yes you can get tired of it. Your likes can change. You don't need to think too carefully about it, you just feel good.

You must be in such a deep depression, if you can't enjoy anything. Are you taking an anti depressant?

I enjoy lots of different things in my life & because I am involved in so many different things, sometimes something I enjoy doing I never do again. I enjoyed caring for the abused stallions. Getting a horse kiss & nickered at as they ran across the field to greet me after recovering for several months that let me know how appreciated I was made me fill with love & joy being around & caring for them. Lots of hard work & time consuming but what an awesome experience.

Once a year I volunteer on the decoration crew for an eventing horse show at our Ky Horse Park. The group I work with is wonderful. Again lots of hard work & about a month worth of time involved bot the experience always makes me feel really good getting together with my friends again.

I know I enjoy something when I get a sense of satisfaction from what I'm doing.

It has to fill you with inner energy.
It has to be a process which either instantly or gradually makes you want more of it.
Like when an artist enters "the zone" and becomes increasingly focused and determined to draw by a positive feeling of energy inside them.

Something that make you relaxed when you do it, without feeling bored. Then, you consumed with it. You're not even bother to check the time.
