I need some help on figuring out what my problem could be. I have been experiencing some really weird symptoms. Randomly, I will make really really weird noises, talk in a weird voice, sing in a weird voice, contort my face, and babble nonsense. It's not like I can't stop myself from doing it, but it just comes out. If I'm in public, i'll end up doing it in my head. Its just like, really RANDOM stuff that makes me feel crazy. Some of the things I say or the noises I make are just super insane. It just happens out of the blue, and after that i'm fine. If I try to stop myself from doing it while its happening I can, but I just don't. And then after I do something, I just am thinking to myself "Why??"
Does ANYONE know what might be causing this? It just keeps getting worse and I feel like I'm loosing my mind.

Hello logpl1, I see this is your first post so welcome to PC! I hope you find your time here to be of benefit. Once you have 5 approved posts, you will be able to enter the chat and talk to fellow members. There is almost always someone online to chat with.

I would recommend seeing a doctor for the issues you describe. It sounds distressing but it could be caused by a number of things, it is best to talk to a professional about it but hopefully some members here can provide some insight as well.

Hello. Welcome to PC. I agree with scaredandconfused that it might be a good idea to see a doctor.

Hiya and welcome to PC.

There are a number of diagnoses that could explain your dilemma. Please see a doctor who can see what is happening for you. Once you know what is occurring you can get the hep that is right for you.

If you find it hard to explain it out loud you may wish to write down some of the symptoms that you are struggling with to make it easier to help the professional to understand.

They are absolutely right, you should see a doctor. However, just in case you are like me and for whatever reason that is not a possibility for you, here is what I think..

Have you taken the quiz for schizophrenia? Its on this website under quizzes. It may be a good place to start.
other possibilities include boredom, early dementia ADHD or it could even be a paranormal or spiritual cause.

I am NOT a mental health professional. This is NOT a diagnosis, just my personal opinion.

If it makes you feel any better, i talk and sing to myself when i am alone. i've also been known to carry on entire conversations with myself in my head while in public and at work. Sometimes ill even slip up and say something out loud that sounds completely random. Ive even caught myself silently moving my lips without realizing it. I think i do it to entertain myself when i am bored.
