It is missing. My bloodwork that was done last Thursday in order to obtain a baseline level for my kidney and thyroid function as I start taking Lithium.

Has anyone seen it?

A reward will be given for any tips or information leading to the whereabouts of my blood. I will be making up a composite drawing. Until then, you may email me for a detailed physical description. I can tell you now that one of the identifiers is that it is red.

lol, hahahahhaa

Yes it's true-- I went to my pdoc yesterday and I asked him if the lab faxed the results over in two days like they said they would. He said they didn't fax them, but he would give them a call. Later in the afternoon the lab called me and finally admitted to losing my bloodwork-- "We have no idea what happened to it." I have to go back tomorrow to do it again. I already started the Lithium, but it has only been 6 days and my dose is very low so far.

Unbelievable.

Not so unbelieveable...it happens more than you think it does!

A friend of mine last year was being tested for cancer and her bloodwork was not only lost once, but twice!!! I was outraged that they would have the audacity to have such a crappy attitude about it too. I phoned them after my friend told me what happened as she was so upset and couldn't make the call herself. I laid into them like there was no tomorrow......then I found another lab for my friend to have her bloodwork drawn.

I do love your search for your blood though. I certainly hope you find it! I know it's got to be out there somewhere!

You know what ? This happened to me just a short while ago. I had an HCG test(pregnancy test via bloodwork) and i wondered why my doc wasnt calling me.. they had never sent the workup over to him because they lost it.
