I'm sitting here waiting to get picked up to go to a university reunion & am having massively mixed feelings about going. It's the university's honour society's 70'th anniversary and so all honour society inductees were invited. I was one of 2 inducted the year I graduated. Ivan Reitman's the MC as he's a member. Everyone I know who is going to be there is hugely successful in their careers & I can't help comparing myself. I'm unemployed, and spent 8 weeks in a mental hospital this summer. This will also be my first social event where alchohol will be served since getting sober so I know that's going to be hard. It'll be kind of cool to see everybody, but I can't help but feeling like a bit of a loser.

I skipped my college's reunion this year. I have never been. I would go only if I could manage to consistently feel that I had something of value within myself that held regardless of apparent "accomplishments."

Maybe next year!

Hope you had a great time! 75th! Doesn't matter what you did later, you were inducted for what you did at that time. That's wonderful that you are one of the 366 to receive the award in all that time! Illness is no respector of persons :-)

Hey splitimage,
I share some of your feelings about reunions. I have yet to go to one...yours sounds neat--I hope you go and have a good time.
